The documents linked above are new searchable PDF documents listing details of the 51 Air Raids suffered by the people of Bournemouth during the Second World War

The first document lists the 172 civilian deaths which occured in the town as a direct result of the Air Raids.
The second lists the details of each raid - the dates and times - the number, type and location of the bombs which were dropped - the casualty figures - and the damage caused to properties.
The data has been derived from Civil Defence records kept at the time, augmented where necessary
with data from Bournemouth Library Archives, and from the Official Register of Deaths.
The records may not of course be complete, and it could be that there are some errors and/or omissions.
